We’re pleased to announce that Alasdair McLaren, our Regional Head of Private Wealth for the UK, Ireland and Crown Dependencies, has been named in eprivateclient’s 50 Most Influential list for 2023.
The ‘50 Most Influential’ recognises and celebrates the most prominent leaders within the private wealth industry in the UK and Crown Dependencies.
With over 30 years’ experience in the sector, Alasdair has worked in the UK and Caribbean as well as Guernsey, and also holds chartered status with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS) and the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI).
Since joining IQ-EQ in 2014, Alasdair’s stellar track record of performance, paired with his commitment to both his work at IQ-EQ and the wider industry, have earned him successive promotions – from client services director to Head of Private Wealth for Guernsey in 2019, then to the newly created role of Regional Head of Private Wealth for the UK, Ireland and Crown Dependencies in 2022.
Alasdair is a well-known and respected member of the Guernsey fiduciary community and has held several positions in leading industry committees and institutions. He has served as chair of the esteemed Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners (STEP)’s Guernsey branch, as well as being a member of the global STEP Council and a committee member of the Guernsey Association of Trustees. His dedication to the industry has led him to sit on advisory committees for both the Guernsey Financial Services Commission (GFSC) and Guernsey Finance, and despite his full schedule, he continues to work closely with the latter to help promote the island as a leading international financial centre.
