IQ-EQ is pleased to announce that its Group Head of Private Wealth, Steve Sokić, has been named in eprivateclient’s '50 Most Influential' list for 2021.
The 50 Most Influential recognises and celebrates the most prominent and important leaders within the private wealth industry in the UK and Crown Dependencies.
Steve, based in Jersey, leads IQ-EQ’s Private Wealth segment worldwide and sits on the Group Management Board. His dedication to and reputation within the private client industry over the last 27+ years is widely respected and prior to IQ-EQ has included private client stewardship, management and executive roles globally at Sanne Group plc, Royal Bank of Canada and Deloitte.
Steve is known for his balanced, deep technical knowledge and empathetic approach to stewardship of clients’ wealth across generations and of private client fiduciary businesses over the years. His global perspective is also well known, given his diverse tri-national background and having worked across key international financial centres in the Caribbean, Canada and Jersey and, most importantly, with clients in most worldwide regions.
Since joining the Group in 2019, Steve has built out and strengthened the Private Wealth segment’s senior team globally and orchestrated key new service developments to better serve the needs of (ultra-)high-net-worth clients. This includes the 2020 launch of our dedicated, holistic Family Office Services, which represents yet another step in IQ-EQ being outsourcing partner of choice for single and multi-family offices around the world.
Since graduating from Toronto’s York University, Steve has achieved a vast array of professional qualifications. He is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP), Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA). He has also completed the Leading Professional Service Firms programme with Harvard Business School.
