IQ-EQ welcomes tenth client to Launchpad programme

IQ-EQ is delighted to announce that, within the first six months of its launch, we have 10 clients on board with our Launchpad initiative, which delivers tailored support to female first-time fund managers.

IQ-EQ Launchpad, a unique programme introduced at the end of 2021, recognises the value of greater female participation in the global asset management industry and the limited opportunities currently available for women in this space. It aims to rebalance the industry’s prevailing gender imbalance by providing a comprehensive support package designed to help female managers succeed in raising their first fund.

Funds with over 50% female ownership or a female founder are eligible to receive preferential service terms, access to a global network, knowledge sharing and a suite of fund administration solutions designed to help women overcome the specific challenges they face in launching inaugural funds.

Interest has been high since the initiative was unveiled and we’ve already proudly welcomed the likes of Atlantica Ventures, EG Capital and Sana Capital to our client book. Investment strategies are varied in both geographic and sector focus, but interestingly most of our Launchpad clients are impact funds, aiming to generate beneficial social or environmental results alongside a financial return.

Our interactions with these inspiring clients are pushing us to constantly improve and build upon our Launchpad programme. As well as recently introducing a new podcast and virtual masterclass series, last week we held our first in-person event for Launchpad clients, together with Brackendale Consulting. The session took place in London on 6 July and gave an overview of effective communication, covered key aspects of fundraising, discussed challenges faced by first-time fund managers and provided guidance on how to overcome these challenges.
