We’re pleased to announce the appointments of Michael Slater as Managing Director, Middle East, and Frédéric Ullens as Managing Director, Luxembourg, further strengthening IQ-EQ’s leadership across key EMEA markets.
These appointments reflect our continued investment in experienced local leadership to support growth, deepen client relationships and enhance delivery in two strategically important jurisdictions. The Middle East is seeing strong investment momentum and rising demand for global asset servicing solutions, while Luxembourg remains central to the European funds and private assets landscape. Together, these markets are critical to our global platform and long-term growth strategy.

Michael Slater joins IQ-EQ with extensive experience across the Middle East and Africa financial services industry. Most recently, he led a regional business overseeing large-scale client operations and driving sustained growth across multiple markets. He has a strong track record of launching and scaling operations in the region and building relationships with sovereign wealth funds, central banks and other institutional investors.

Frédéric Ullens brings more than 25 years’ experience in the funds and private assets industry, with a proven ability to deliver growth in complex, highly regulated environments. He has held senior global leadership roles for over 15 years, leading international platforms, integrations and acquisitions, and driving sustained organic growth. Most recently, he led a global private assets business unit at CACEIS spanning multiple jurisdictions.
As Managing Directors, Michael and Frédéric will oversee IQ-EQ’s activities in their respective jurisdictions, working closely with regional and commercial leadership teams to support the Group’s strategic objectives. They will also partner with John Legrand, Deputy Group CEO and Regional CEO, EMEA, to align opportunities and further strengthen IQ-EQ’s regional position.
