IQ-EQ is delighted to announce that Joanne McEnteggart, managing director of our Irish business, has been elected Vice Chair of the Ireland Canada Business Association (ICBA).
The ICBA is a leading business association for promoting and developing strong commercial links between Ireland and Canada. Its membership comprises over 100 international companies ranging from start-ups to established multinational institutions.
In her role with IQ-EQ, Joanne works regularly with Canadian companies looking to Ireland as either a platform to expand into the EU and EMEA markets, or a location to base their investment structure.
A certified accountant with over 20 years’ financial services experience, Joanne trained with Ireland’s largest insurance company before joining the financial services arm of one of the ‘Big 4’ accounting firms. She then spent several years with one of Ireland’s leading stockbrokers and held senior positions with a prominent international business process outsourcing and professional services company before joining us as a business development director in 2015. Since then, Joanne quickly achieved successive promotions and within two years was appointed Managing Director for Ireland.
Joanne’s stellar expertise, paired with her active involvement with and advocacy of the ICBA in recent years, make her an ideal candidate to take on the role of vice chair. This new remit will see her work closely with newly appointed chairman, Chris Collenette, and the rest of the board to help drive ICBA’s strategy forward.
