IQ-EQ is pleased to be assisting Fost Capital with the launch of its maiden fund as part of our Launchpad programme. Fost Capital is a female-led venture capital fund focusing on regulated businesses in areas such as fintech, legaltech and insurtech.
IQ-EQ Launchpad aims to rebalance the prevailing gender imbalance in the global asset management industry by providing a comprehensive support package designed to help female managers succeed in raising their first fund.
Fost Capital is led by Valentine Baudouin, who has been named as one of the top female business angels in France. Valentine spent more than 10 years as a lawyer in private practice. Following her legal career, she joined a small circle of female business angels and investors before becoming a partner in the venture studio Founders Future, which brings together seed investment and a start-up studio. Fost Capital is Valentine’s latest venture, which focuses on pre-seed and seed investments. As Fost Capital’s Managing Partner, she commented:
“I am delighted to have IQ-EQ’s support and expertise in launching my investment fund. We are still in the start-up phase, but I can already see the many benefits of our collaboration. The fact that women in this industry can be supported by a globally connected leader like IQ-EQ is a wonderful opportunity. I do believe that IQ-EQ Launchpad will help to strengthen the gender balance in our industry.”
Fost Capital was introduced to IQ-EQ Launchpad by Flora-Marie Leon Pierson, Head of Private Equity, Structuring & Front Office at Equitis, part of the IQ-EQ Group in France. Equitis has been appointed by Fost Capital for AIFM services while IQ-EQ will deliver administration services as part of the Launchpad initiative, which also encompasses preferential service terms and access to IQ-EQ’s global network.
