The Citywealth Leaders List provides a growing directory of recommended wealth managers and advisers working with ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families globally. Of IQ-EQ’s 19 professionals currently featured, we are pleased to announce that client directors Stuart Dowding and Lorraine Wheeler have both been recognised among Citywealth’s top editors’ picks for 2020.
They have each been recognised for their ability to deliver expertly tailored wealth planning solutions to meet the needs of high-net-worth (HNW) individuals and families, paired with their warm and empathetic approach to client service.
With over 25 years’ experience in the private wealth sphere, Stuart has gained exceptional working knowledge of corporate and trust structures and has supported clients on significant projects including large property portfolios for investment and development. After building a successful career in Guernsey, Stuart relocated to Hong Kong and spent two years as managing director of one of the group’s legacy Hong Kong businesses before returning to Guernsey at the end of 2018. He is a qualified member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and a PRINCE2 registered practitioner.
Lorraine has over 30 years in the industry spanning the UK, Bermuda, Switzerland and Jersey. An active contributor to the fiduciary sector in Jersey and beyond, Lorraine was recently elected President of the Jersey Association of Trust Companies (JATCo), which represents the interests of the island’s trust companies. Significantly, Lorraine is the only person ever to have led both JATCo and STEP Jersey, which looks after individual trust professionals in the jurisdiction. She has also represented Jersey on the global STEP Council and in 2015 received the prestigious STEP Founder’s Award for Outstanding Achievement.
Both are well known to Citywealth, with Stuart winning ‘Outstanding Individual of the Year’ in the 2016 Citywealth Future Leaders Awards, while Lorraine was included in the International Powerwomen Top 200 in 2017 and 2018.
