Blume Equity, a European climate-tech growth investor, has appointed IQ-EQ for a full service scope to support its maiden fund launch.
In its mission to transform the health of the planet and people, Blume Equity partners with purpose-driven entrepreneurs who are tackling the climate emergency and creating a more sustainable world. The firm provides both financial and human capital to help these pioneering companies scale profitably with positive impact.
Although the firm, established in 2020, is a first-time fund manager, its three founding partners – Eleanor Blagbrough, Michelle Capiod and Clare Murray – each have extensive experience and an impressive track record in private equity and impact investing.
In addition, our UK business is providing regulatory hosting services, with Blume Equity as an appointed representative of the FCA-authorised IQ-EQ subsidiary, G10 Capital.
The firm will also benefit from IQ-EQ’s Launchpad programme, delivering tailored and added-value support to female first-time fund managers.
The opportunity to work with Blume Equity originated from the trusted and long-standing relationship between Blume’s founders and IQ-EQ director Emmanuelle Dotezac. Leading IQ-EQ’s service mandate is client relationship director Riccardo Zorzetto.
Commenting on IQ-EQ’s appointment, co-founding partner Michelle Capiod said:
“We chose to work with IQ-EQ for a number of reasons, including their commitment to supporting sustainability-focused managers and their highly commercial and entrepreneurial approach, working with the client’s needs in mind at all times. Above all, we appreciate their ability to partner with us across a range of areas, owing to their breadth of service offering. This, paired with their talented and highly responsive team, delivers a remarkably seamless experience for both GPs and LPs. We look forward to IQ-EQ’s continued support as we venture forth with our first fundraise.”
