The Long-Term Asset Fund (LTAF), introduced by the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), marks a significant milestone in the UK’s investment landscape.
Designed to broaden access to long-term, illiquid assets such as private equity, infrastructure and real estate, the LTAF enables retail investors to participate alongside institutional investors – while maintaining robust investor protections.
Much like the EU’s ELTIF regime, this new framework is a key step in democratising private markets and supporting the financing of long-term economic growth. It also reflects growing momentum around pension scheme integration and retail access to alternative investments.
Our new guide provides an overview of the LTAF framework, including its regulatory foundations, operational requirements and the latest developments in retail access and pension scheme integration. Click below to read and download:
Whether you’re a fund manager, investor or industry stakeholder, this resource is designed to help you navigate the opportunities and responsibilities that come with launching or investing in an LTAF.
