Sukanya Lal: Sukanya is the Business Development Director in IQ-EQ Singapore involved in Business Development and Sales. She has over 15 years’ experience in financial services. She specializes in fund administration and related services and has experience with a wide range of fund structures and investment strategies. Sukanya is the ESG Champ for Asia and point of contact for IQ-EQ.
Anulekha Samant - Partner (Tax), KPMG (Singapore)
Anu has over 20 years of tax experience working in Singapore, Switzerland and India, out of which 14 years can be attributed to Singapore. She has a special focus on the fund management and real estate sector and has served a wide portfolio of clients, comprising mostly multinationals. She has been involved in advising a number of fund managers on tax efficient structures for their fund vehicles investing in variety of investments especially Pan Asian real estate funds.
Kalpesh Desai - Partner (Tax), KPMG (India)
Kalpesh has over 20 years of post-qualification tax and regulatory experience. He specializes in transaction advisory services from a tax and regulatory perspective including deal documentation, undertaking tax due diligences. He also specializes in advising private equity fund clients including sovereign wealth funds, global private equity funds on structuring their funds, carried interest structuring, review of fund documentation, etc.
Vivek Mimani - Partner, Khaitan & Co
Vivek is a partner in the Investment Funds Practice Group at Khaitan & Co. He has vast experience in the funds space advising on a large number of transactions and handholding several offshore fund managers on their India foray and India fund managers on their global expansion. He also has the distinction of setting up the first SEBI registered India based hedge fund and obtaining the first InvIT and REiT registrations in the country.
