AVCA Annual Conference 2022, Dakar Senegal

IQ-EQ’s Rehma Imrith and Marie-Charlotte Duhamel are delighted to attend the upcoming AVCA Annual Conference taking place in Dakar, from 25-29 April 2022.

The AVCA 2022 Annual Conference will be AVCA’s first in-person industry gathering since 2019. And this year, AVCA are delving deeper to have an open, honest conversation about the future of private equity and venture capital in Africa.

The 18th Annual AVCA Conference has two objectives:

• Taking stock of an industry navigating change (facing the hard facts)
• Setting out a plan of action to usher in the next wave of private investment in Africa (transformation and recovery)

While the industry has witnessed significant success stories across fundraising and deal-making, challenges such as foreign exchange volatility, political instability, difficult regulatory environments, limited exit options, and the increasing trend of consolidation, continue to prevent investors from harnessing the continent’s investment potential.
