Two of IQ-EQ’s rising stars make Channel Islands Top 35 Under 35 for second year

IQ-EQ is delighted to announce that Rhuaridh Watt and Ryan Crawford have been named in eprivateclient’s Channel Islands ‘Top 35 Under 35’ for 2019. This is the second year that both young professionals have made the list, giving each a 100% success rate since the ranking began!

Now in its second year, the Channel Islands listing aims to identify, recognise and promote the rising stars of the private wealth industry in Jersey and Guernsey.

Rhuaridh is a client relationship manager in our Guernsey office. His winning combination of technical expertise, ambition and personality has seen him rise quickly through the ranks to manage a portfolio of highly complex structures while still in his 20s. Rhuaridh was also instrumental in the Guernsey office’s successful application for the prestigious STEP Platinum Employer Partner accreditation, the highest of three tiers awarded under the STEP Employer Partnership Programme, in 2018.

Prior to joining IQ-EQ, Rhuaridh worked for a leading offshore law firm for three years before moving to a boutique trust and corporate services provider. He is an associate member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) and a fully qualified member of STEP.

Ryan is a senior trust officer in our Jersey office. Having worked across trust, investment, marketing and business development roles, he has a broad range of skills and experience that complement his expertise in private wealth structuring. Ryan is often praised for his ability to make complex concepts understandable to those with a more limited knowledge of the intricacies of the trustee world, which sees him travel abroad with IQ-EQ to meet with prospective clients and intermediaries.

Ryan began his career with another fiduciary services provider in Jersey, where he progressed from trainee to senior administrator after only three years, before going on to co-found the firm’s Investment and Treasury Services team and lead a business development project in their Singapore office. He holds the CISI Level 4 Investment Advice Diploma and the ICSA Diploma in Offshore Finance and Administration.

Following their success in the Channel Islands Top 35 Under 35, Rhuaridh and Ryan will now also be considered for eprivateclient’s broader UK and Crown Dependencies version, which will be announced later this year.

Congratulations Rhuaridh and Ryan!
