IQ-EQ is delighted to announce that Rhuaridh Watt has been named in the eprivateclient Top 35 Under 35 for 2019. This follows on from Rhuaridh’s recognition in eprivateclient’s Channel Islands list earlier this year.
The ‘Top 35 Under 35’ list aims to identify, recognise and promote the rising talent of the private wealth industry across the UK and Crown Dependencies.
As a client relationship manager in our Guernsey office, Rhuaridh manages a portfolio of highly complex structures for a roster of international clients. His “old fashioned” approach to client service (preferring to pick up the phone or meet with clients face to face) combined with his high technical ability often earns Rhuaridh glowing praise from clients.
Prior to joining the Group in 2017, Rhuaridh worked at a leading offshore law firm for three years and gained significant exposure to private client work and non-contentious trust applications. He subsequently moved to a boutique trust and corporate services provider where he was responsible for managing family office structures for UHNW individuals.
Since graduating from the University of Stirling with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB), Rhuaridh has become an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments (ACSI) and a fully qualified Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP). In fact, Rhuaridh completed the STEP diploma in six months rather than the two years it usually takes, passing with distinction.
Rhuaridh has also been instrumental in a number of key projects in the Guernsey office including its successful application for the prestigious STEP Platinum Employer Partner accreditation and the development of a technical training scheme for trainees and junior staff.
