Following our 2020 Trust Company of the Year win, IQ-EQ are delighted to be shortlisted for two awards at the 16th annual STEP Private Client Awards. This will be the second year in a row to be nominated as Trust Company of the Year and a first shortlisting for Thomas Rabon as Young Practitioner of the Year. STEP is the hallmark of quality in the private client trust industry and our shortlisting is a testament to the significant efforts of our global Private Wealth team in the last year.
In the past 12 months, our Private Wealth business has maintained a strong position with significant investment made in attracting key new hires to the Private Wealth business. Despite the ongoing challenges presented by the global pandemic we continued to win new business mandates over the course of the last year thanks to the collective efforts of the Private Wealth team. Not only that but we have also continued to innovate in the sector with the launch a number of new products including our Family Office Services, and IQ-EQ Compass service offerings as well as our continued thought leadership through a number of articles, interviews and webinars. The acquisition of Concord Trust Company in the USA in April 2021 has also further extended our pole position as a global industry leader.
The nomination of Thomas Rabon, Vice President of Trust Management at Concord Trust, now an IQ-EQ Group company, as a contender in the Young Practitioner of the Year category is a fantastic and well deserved achievement for him and evidence of the calibre and depth of expertise across the business globally; we are naturally very proud of his nomination.
IQ-EQ’s Group Head of Private Wealth, Steve Sokic, commented,
“We are delighted to be shortlisted for this highly prestigious award. To be recognised by STEP two years in a row is a real achievement, particularly amid such a challenging global environment. The STEP awards are rightly seen as being the gold standard in the private wealth sector. This is another huge vote of confidence in our global team, including Thomas’s deserved recognition which is in turn reflective of the young talent we have across the business.”
The winners will be announced at a virtual awards ceremony on 21 September. Wish us luck!
