We are pleased to announce two senior promotions within our UK, Ireland and Crown Dependencies regional cluster. Nyasha Dhitima has been appointed as Head of Fund Operations for London, while Marisa Warren has taken on the role of Regional Head of Onboarding & Implementation.
Prior to Nyasha’s promotion, he was a client services director, focused on servicing IQ-EQ’s private equity and private debt fund clients in the UK. His remit covered multiple jurisdictions, all serviced by our London office.
Nyasha has a wealth of experience in the alternative funds sector, including 12 years within IQ-EQ’s Funds segment. Before joining IQ-EQ, he worked for PwC auditing similar structures. He is a chartered accountant.
In his new role, Nyasha will lead our London office’s service delivery for fund clients, working closely with the client service directors. He’ll also lead the Funds Training and Technical Team, which continues to add value for both internal and external stakeholders.
Meanwhile, Marisa is stepping up from her former dual role of Client Services Director (focused on fund clients serviced by IQ-EQ’s London office) and Head of the UK Onboarding and Implementation Team for our Funds and Regulatory & Compliance Solutions businesses in the UK.
Marisa joined IQ-EQ in June 2019, having previously been a vice president and board director of State Street Administration Services (UK) Limited, where she was responsible for all aspects of client servicing for private equity funds.
She has over 20 years’ experience working in the financial services industry, including in client operations, client relationship management, risk management, and oversight of outsourcing arrangements. Marisa has held director positions on both client and employer boards, is a chartered secretary and is currently completing the International Compliance Association (ICA)’s Advanced Certificate in Practical Customer Due Diligence.
In her new role, Marisa will lead the transformation and automation of IQ-EQ’s client onboarding experience across the region for all business lines and service segments, building upon the successful development and re-design of our proprietary AML and verification software platform, MaxComply™, into a bespoke end-to-end onboarding solution.
Both Nyasha and Marisa’s promotions reflect the calibre of talent that exists within IQ-EQ, while Marisa’s new role – a newly created position – is also representative of the ongoing success and growth of our operations across the UK, Ireland and Crown Dependencies.
