IQ-EQ appoints new Head of Caribbean

We are pleased to announce that Cory Thackeray has been appointed as IQ-EQ’s Head of Caribbean, a newly created regional leadership position responsible for overseeing strategy, operations and performance across our Cayman, Curaçao and Bermuda offices.

Cory has significant experience in the hedge fund industry, including successfully building one of the top five hedge fund administrators, growing its assets under administration (AUA) from $3.5bn to $200bn. Prior to joining IQ-EQ, Cory was Chief Financial Officer for CrossTower, a fast-growing crypto investment and trading firm operating in New Jersey, Bermuda and India. He has also headed up Hedge Fund Services in North America for State Street Alternative Investment Solutions and held the role of Global Head of Goldman Sachs Administration Services.

In his new role, Cory will lead the Caribbean team and in line with Group strategy, help expand IQ-EQ’s capabilities and growing presence in the region as well as foster further collaboration between our Caribbean offices. He will also support the development of initiatives to create a strong Caribbean service platform with multi-jurisdictional capabilities to further enhance IQ-EQ’s brand and bespoke specialist solutions to the region’s leading asset managers, banks and financial institutions.

Cory will be based in the Cayman office and report to Mark Fordyce, Regional CEO of the Americas. Speaking on Cory’s appointment, Mark said:
