IQ-EQ has appointed Martin Müller as Director of Business Development for Switzerland, reflecting the strategic importance of the Swiss market as a growth area for our wider international funds business – with Luxembourg playing a key role as a cross-border fund hub.

Institutional investors, family offices and asset managers remain very active in Switzerland, especially in the alternative assets space. Martin Müller’s appointment comes as demand continues to rise while requirements evolve. New product structures are enabling market access for a broader investor base. Appetite for private credit, evergreen and semi-liquid funds, as well as separately managed accounts (SMAs), is developing particularly dynamically. Regulatory requirements, reporting obligations and operational complexity are rising in tandem.
“Performance may attract investors, but sustainable growth and long-term investor confidence are built on robust governance structures, institutional operating models and scalable operational infrastructure,” says Martin. “Asset managers are increasingly looking for partners that can help them scale their platforms efficiently, freeing them to focus on their true core competency: asset management. It’s precisely in this environment that we see significant growth potential for IQ-EQ in Switzerland.”
Martin brings to IQ-EQ more than 10 years’ experience in alternative investments and private markets. Before joining us, he held roles at Partners Group, StepStone Group and, most recently, Solutions & Funds, where he worked closely with institutional investors, asset managers and family offices to support the development, structuring and implementation of fund and investment solutions across private equity, private debt and real assets.
Based in Zurich, Martin will work closely with our Luxembourg team and focus on developing IQ-EQ’s funds business in the Swiss market – helping client access our wider international offering of fund structuring, governance, compliance, administration, investor reporting and other related services.
For Swiss asset managers, international connectivity is becoming increasingly important. Many are looking to access new investor groups, expand their distribution channels and offer their products across multiple jurisdictions.
Martin continues: “Switzerland has an exceptionally dynamic private markets ecosystem and a relatively high concentration of specialised asset managers, institutional investors and family offices. At the same time, we’re seeing many market participants seeking – and needing – to internationalise their products and further institutionalise their operating models. This is increasing demand for partners like IQ-EQ that can combine local market knowledge with a global platform.
“With sizeable operations in key European fund domiciles such as Luxembourg, Ireland and France – as well as established offices in Zurich and Geneva – IQ-EQ has a robust international platform for cross-border fund and investment structures, ready to meet Swiss managers’ growing ambitions and operational needs.”
