The client, their challenge
Our client is a leading private debt manager providing senior debt, subordinated debt and mid-market direct loans to companies in Europe and the U.S. Their investor base spans across EMEA, Asia and North America with over $10bn in AUM.
They reached out to IQ-EQ to see if we could provide support to their fund administration team on some non-core entities, allowing their in-house team to focus on the main fund entities.
Our solution
Since our initial engagement in 2022, the relationship has grown with the addition of extra non-core entities followed by loan servicing work in the summer of 2023.
The client had ambitious plans to grow, but they were servicing these ambitions in-house and had reached a point where their back office, including its physical location, was becoming too small to support their growth.
They wanted to work with a provider who could take on their fund and loan administration requirements but utilise their existing platforms, as they were already in lengthy software contracts and wanted to avoid any costly migrations.
IQ-EQ was able to provide a true extension of the client’s back office by working with their existing system. We provided fund and loan administration teams to work on their mandate from our offices in London and Dublin, logging into and using their systems while harnessing our own knowledge of Investran and Allvue.
The results
By adopting existing client processes and feeding directly into the client’s team, we improved their ways of working by leveraging our own experience with the software.
We are now fully operational as the client’s outsourced fund and loan administration partner.
