Under the lead of the CSR team, our colleagues collected essential food items needed by FoodWise such as lentils, vegetable oils, canned fish, meat, and vegetables, amongst others.
Following a successful donation drive for PAWS earlier this year, the Mauritius team organised a second donation campaign for FoodWise, an non-government organisation (NGO) fighting food waste and empowering local communities.
A total of 375 KG of goods were gathered over the two-week campaign and distributed to vulnerable people in the region of Port Louis. Our donation will help prepare meals for school children and support people in need.
As part of their efforts to raise awareness and share knowledge about local food waste, the FoodWise team hosted an awareness session at the IQ-EQ office. They explained how reducing food waste may help preserve the environment and ensure a sustainable future.
