TR Capital, a highly regarded secondary fund manager in Asia, has selected IQ-EQ’s Hong Kong and Luxembourg teams to administer the Cayman and Luxembourg parallel structures of its new Fund V. In addition, TR Capital has since appointed IQ-EQ for a number of further mandates.
TR Capital is a secondary private equity investor based in the Asia-Pacific region with offices in Hong Kong, Singapore, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Mumbai. Founded in 2007, the firm has so far closed four flagship funds, managed US$1.2 billion of capital commitments and completed 39 secondary investments.
TR Capital specialises in secondary direct investments and fund restructurings, with focus on innovative and established leaders in the Technology, Next-Generation Consumer and Healthcare sectors across China, India and Southeast Asia.
Looking for a well-established provider with a solid reputation and technical expertise, TR Capital appointed IQ-EQ earlier this year to administer the Cayman and Luxembourg parallel structures for its new Fund V. This mandate involves both IQ-EQ Hong Kong and IQ-EQ Luxembourg, and the cross-border collaboration is being led by Clare Chang, Business Development Director for Funds in Hong Kong, and Riccardo Zorzetto, Client Relationship Director and Head of Private Equity in Luxembourg.
