IQ-EQ recently hosted an exclusive webinar in partnership with Brackendale Consulting to ask an LP and a GP their views on costs associated with investing in private equity.
In this webinar, we listened to feedback and debate from an LP and a GP on the key findings from our The Cost of Playing the Game survey, which analysed attitudes towards the costs inherent when investing in private equity.
Topics included the industry’s most long-standing practices such as the 2:20 fee model, the amount of influence LPs feel they have when negotiating fees, and whether GP compensation should be linked to ESG incentives.
At IQ-EQ, we believe in prioritising ESG and the use of technology to streamline investor onboarding and optimise investment returns through data, and our survey findings indicate that LPs and GPs are on the same page.
The panel was moderated by Fay Margo, CEO of Brackendale Consulting and features Zeina Bain, Managing Partner at Sullivan Street Partners representing GPs, and Matthew Powley, Director of Private Capital at Stonehage Fleming who shares an LP’s point of view.
