IQ-EQ Guernsey is very active in the local community, taking on various CSR activities and supporting local charities. Here are some of the great causes they have been involved in recently:
The St Martins Guernsey office held a ‘Great Guernsey Bean On’ day – five cooks made the traditional Guernsey Bean Jar dish, and Sharon McMillan was the judge as to which was the tastiest and Shan Ward was declared the winner!
A total of £118 was raised and will be given to the Guernsey Kidney Patients Association and Bright Tights.
IQ-EQ was also one of the main sponsors for the Guernsey Marathon on 25 October. The team of IQ-EQ water station volunteers also made an amazing team effort.
Sharon Wrench and Coral Farmer have just become trained as Mental Health First Aiders through Guernsey Mind. IQ-EQ work closely with Guernsey Mind and they have previously delivered Mental Health Awareness sessions and Line Manager development session for us in-house.
On 9 November, IQ-EQ were able to hold a bake sale in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. Our bakers have provided us all with an amazing choice of cakes and slices, sausage rolls and cheese scones, raising a massive £391.98.
They also have more great CSR efforts to come. They are currently taking part throughout November in the Male Uprising Guernsey (MUG) Beard Up 2020 challenge.
