Depositary services

Under the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD), we are authorised to act as an independent depositary for UK and EU alternative investment fund managers (AIFMs) with funds domiciled in the UK, Luxembourg or the Netherlands.

We can also provide ‘depositary lite’ services to non-EU AIFMs and AIFs.

We provide our depositary services either as part of a wider suite of fund administration services, or on a standalone basis where we interface with our clients’ in-house fund administration team or existing service provider. Our depositaries are separate entities, segregated from our fund administration and AIFM ManCo services within the Group.

For non-EU AIFMs marketing their funds in Germany and/or Denmark, we offer depositary-lite services (primarily from our UK office) – a requirement when marketing under the national private placement regimes (NPPRs) of those EU member states.
