SharePoint Administrator / Developer

Job Description

N.B. This role is a fixed term contract role. 

 

As a result of continued growth, we are looking for an experienced SharePoint Administrator to join our global team. This is an exciting opportunity for an action oriented individual contributor to lead on the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Microsoft SharePoint (Online & On premise) in-line with our standards and policies to agreed service levels.


What you'll do

  • You'll manage on‑premises SharePoint 2016 servers and support the transition to SharePoint Online, ensuring business applications and Microsoft 365 tenant services run smoothly.
  • You'll provide technical support, incident/problem resolution, and implement changes (permissions, libraries, pages, migrations) while maintaining documentation, service excellence controls, and compliance.
  • You'll advise and train business users, liaise with stakeholders across departments, and capture/document requirements to drive adoption of document and content management solutions.
  • You'll contribute to projects, service improvements, and platform maintenance, applying expertise in data retrieval, backups, storage maintenance, archiving, encryption, and security/firewall management.
  • You'll demonstrate strong problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills—taking ownership of tasks, prioritizing under pressure, influencing senior leaders, and collaborating with global technology teams.

Qualifications

About you

  • You hold a graduate degree (preferably IT-related) and bring over 5 years of IT experience, including at least 3 years in SharePoint Administration.
  • You have strong technical expertise in installing and maintaining SharePoint platforms, managing users/ACLs, permissions, IIS, SSL certificates, topology services, and intranet systems, with advanced PowerShell skills for automation, backup/restore, and bulk operations.
  • You demonstrate solid networking knowledge (IP, DNS, load balancing) and experience with security configuration, logging, reporting, and Azure cloud services, alongside prior Information Management experience in O365 and highly regulated environments.
  • You possess proven ability to work in complex, multi-country organizations, collaborating across multicultural teams, and applying program management knowledge to deliver scalable, secure, and compliant solutions.
  • You communicate effectively in English (additional European languages are an asset), showing integrity, credibility, problem-solving ability, and the presence, passion, and drive to influence stakeholders and achieve results in fast-paced global business settings.
