Senior Officer, Depositary

Job Description

THIS ROLE:

In this role you will bebe responsible for managing complex depositary operations and reviewing work of junior officers. You will provide technical guidance and acts as a subject matter expert while independently handling sophisticated client requirements and complex transactions.  

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

  • You will review complex transactions you will drive regulatory compliance and manage key client relationships
  • You will oversee cash monitoring processes and provide technical guidance
  • You will review Officer's 1-3 work as well as constitutional documents
  • You will oversee cash and safekeeping reconciliations and prepare complex reports
  • You will manage stakeholder relationships and coordinate with service providers
  • You will ensure regulatory compliance and review complex documentation and handle critical issues

Qualifications

ABOUT YOU:

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in law, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A university degree in law or economics is considered an advantage.
  • You have a 3–4 years of experience in the depositary/custody function, gained in a depositary bank or a similar role in audit or fund accounting
  • You have a hands-on experience in the Private Equity / Real Estate markets, with a strong understanding of their unique structures.
  • You have a solid knowledge of regulatory compliance in depositary operations.
  • You have expertise in managing complex transactions and handling sophisticated client requirements independently.
  • You have the ability to drive regulatory compliance and oversee cash monitoring processes and reconciliations
  • You have an experience in reviewing constitutional documents and complex documentation
  • You have proven ability to provide technical guidance to junior officers and review their work (1–3 team members)
  • You have an advanced reporting skills, including the preparation of complex reports and documentation for stakeholders
  • You have an In-depth knowledge of depositary operations and cash safekeeping functions
  • You have a strong leadership and mentoring skills to guide junior officers and build a collaborative team
  • You have an excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage key client relationships and coordinate with external service providers
  • You have the ability to handle critical issues calmly and efficiently, ensuring timely resolutions
  • You have high attention to detail and organizational skills for overseeing multiple complex tasks simultaneously
