Job Description

Job Summary:

A senior technical position responsible for managing complex depositary operations and reviewing work of junior officers. This role provides technical guidance and acts as a subject matter expert while independently handling sophisticated client requirements and complex transactions.

Task:

  • Review constitutional documents
  • Oversee cash and safekeeping reconciliations
  • Prepare complex reports
  • Manage stakeholder relationships
  • Coordinate with service providers
  • Ensure regulatory compliance
  • Review complex documentation
  • Handle critical issues

Qualifications

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • A university degree in law or economics is considered an advantage

Professional Experience:

  • 3–4 years of experience in the depositary/custody function, gained in a depositary bank or a similar role in audit or fund accounting
  • Hands-on experience in the Private Equity / Real Estate markets, with a strong understanding of their unique structures
  • Solid knowledge of regulatory compliance in depositary operations
  • Expertise in managing complex transactions and handling sophisticated client requirements independently

  • Ability to drive regulatory compliance and oversee cash monitoring processes and reconciliations
  • Experience in reviewing constitutional documents and complex documentation
  • Proven ability to provide technical guidance to junior officers and review their work (1–3 team members)
  • Advanced reporting skills, including the preparation of complex reports and documentation for stakeholders
  • In-depth knowledge of depositary operations and cash safekeeping functions
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills to guide junior officers and build a collaborative team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage key client relationships and coordinate with external service providers
  • Ability to handle critical issues calmly and efficiently, ensuring timely resolutions
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills for overseeing multiple complex tasks simultaneously
  • Ownership-drivenness, taking full responsibility for the quality and timeliness of deliverables
  • Proactivity, with the initiative to drive processes forward and address challenges as they arise
  • Client-focus, ensuring high levels of service while managing client expectations effectively
  • Attention to detail and thoroughness, maintaining consistency and accuracy in all aspects of the role
