Senior Officer, Compliance

Job Description

THIS ROLE 

We’re seeking a driven and detail-oriented Senior Compliance Officer to join our team in Guernsey and support the Compliance Officer and MLCO at IQ-EQ. You'll play a critical role in delivering our compliance monitoring plan, ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations. With a focus on financial crime prevention—including fraud, money laundering, terrorist financing, and reputational risk—you'll help safeguard the business while promoting a strong compliance culture. This is a great opportunity to make an impact in a high-trust, high-responsibility role.

WHAT YOU WILL DO 

  • You’ll lead compliance monitoring activities, uncover root causes of issues, and follow through on management actions—ensuring testing meets global standards.
  • You’ll support financial crime efforts by contributing to sanctions audits, updating registers, and shaping AML/CFT/CPF policy and procedure enhancements.
  • You’ll produce clear, actionable Board-level reports and collaborate on identifying risk areas for internal and external review.
  • You’ll respond to internal advisory queries, prepare for audits and regulator visits, and handle GFSC requests and thematic reviews.
  • You’ll help enhance business risk assessments, deliver compliance training, and maintain strong ties across regional and global compliance teams.

Qualifications

ABOUT YOU 

  • You hold an ICA Diploma or equivalent, and you’re committed to continued professional development in the compliance space.
  • You have solid experience in compliance, and ideally, a background in funds or fiduciary services.
  • You’ve worked with KYC/CDD processes and understand client onboarding from a regulatory lens.
  • You’re confident using Microsoft Office tools to manage and present compliance data efficiently.
  • You’re familiar with screening tools like Worldcheck and apply them effectively to assess financial crime risks.
