Senior Officer, CDD and On-boarding

Job Description

Be a key player in onboarding new business clients and monitoring client due diligence (CDD). Provide helpful guidance on CDD inquiries from the Client Services Teams and actively support team members with on-the-job training and expertise.

What You'll Do - 

  • New Business Onboarding
    • Manage NBAC/Discovery meetings, including scheduling, note-taking, and pack preparation
    • Maintain NBAC Trackers and execute new business systems (5series, Imagein, PureFunds, MaxComply)
  • Ongoing Monitoring and CDD Processing
    • Update Onboarding and CDD tracker logs
    • Execute business as usual (BAU) CDD on relevant systems
    • Ensure quality assurance of CDD processing
  • Operational Support and Efficiency
    • Collaborate with Client Services Teams, Compliance, and Operational Support
    • Maintain strong operational controls and data integrity
    • Execute and evaluate screening processes, identifying risks and providing justification
    • Adapt to changes and foster a positive team attitude
    • Identify training needs and assist in providing required training
    • Complete timely time recording on 5Series
  • Communication and Escalation
    • Respond promptly to email queries and maintain organised filing
    • Escalate CDD or NBAC issues to the Director/Manager of Onboarding and Client Monitoring

Qualifications

What You'll Bring - 

  • Ideally hold an AML Certificate or equivalent.
  • 3+ years previous experience in a Client Due Diligence role
  • Experience in Private Wealth/Corporate and Fund industries
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of various typology of clients – Fund, company (holding/special vehicle, private limited etc.), Trust (discretionary, revocable, protected etc.), Foundation, Pension Fund, Insurance, Investor.
  • AML/CTF Risk Management/Assessment Skills
  • Proficient user of MS Word, Excel, and Access
  • A high level of experience relating to on-boarding and periodic reviews of Private Wealth, Funds and Corporate clients.
  • Experience within financial markets is essential.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and on occasion under pressure to analyse information, research possible options and provide logical recommendations.
  • Fluent in English
  • Any other language would be an advantage.
