Senior Manager – Hedge Fund Accounting (Fund Administration)

Job Description

This position involves managing and training fund accountants, overseeing the timely delivery of client reports, and independently handling client relationships to ensure high service standards. The manager is also responsible for reviewing and occasionally preparing complex monthly client reports involving intricate fund structures, investor allocations, or financial instruments. Ideal candidates are self-driven and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

What you’ll do

  • You are responsible for managing entire client relationships, ensuring high levels of service and satisfaction.
  • You will lead, train, and allocate tasks to fund accountants, overseeing daily, monthly, and annual responsibilities.
  • You ensure timely and accurate client reporting, including maintaining books and records for clients with complex operations
  • You prepare and review financial statements and reports, ensuring all fund NAV, investor, and financial reporting deadlines are met
  • You interact with auditors and tax advisors, and assist in preparing audit and tax documentation, reconciliations, and specialized client reporting.

  • The salary for this position will be dependent on experience and location ($95,000-$125,000)

Qualifications

  • You hold a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and bring 4 plus years of relevant experience, including direct client service.
  • You have strong analytical and research skills, with a curious mindset and a proactive, goal-oriented approach.
  • You’re proficient in Microsoft Office and skilled in resolving problems through detailed analysis and reconciliation.
  • You communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing, and are highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • You manage your time effectively, thrive under pressure, and work well both independently and as part of a team.
