Senior Fund Accounting Officer

Job Description

  • Taking care of the day-to-day operations of the funds and following up with third parties, including clients;
  • Keeping the funds books and preparing the periodic funds valuations (Net Asset Value), year-end financial statements, CSSF/BCL reporting, and any other funds related reports;
  • Assisting in the coordination of year-end audits;
  • Preparing periodic tax and VAT returns and maintaining relevant contact with the Luxembourg tax authorities and tax advisers;
  • Handling of all incoming requests, either from client, either from other counterparts, regarding Depositary or AIFM tasks
  • Provide client service & support for BAU and ongoing operational issues
  • Archiving all Fund accounting documents (bank statements, invoice, tax assessment, …) via Billy/Docbridge
  • Making payments on Multiline in case of pic of activity and to complete tracker log
  • Ensure relevant information is provided to TA, depositary and AIFM team if any.
  • Make sure that checklists are completed on time, exhaustively and double-checked before asking review from a senior or manager.
  • All emails must be acknowledged by the person taking care of a clients’ request the day the request has been received
  • To ensure a good coordination with oversight teams and to follow query log provided by oversight teams until completeness
  • Ability to work into more complex structures
  • Improving hierarchy relationship by reporting regularly encountered problems, outstanding work (escalation process) and any risk identified.
  • Follow-up of the incidents until full completion of corrective & preventive measures.
  • Assistance in the client service reviews (agenda, follow-ups, service plans, write-ups, call memos) by producing monthly KPI’s and monitoring client issues log.
  • Maintaining efficient external and internal relationships with clients, managers, TA KYC, company secretarial, Business implementation, client directors, auditors…
  • Participation in the launch of new funds (or sub-funds), SICAR and unregulated entities.
  • To be part of the ISAE 3402 certification and make sure that all check-lists are signed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Economics or Finance
  • ACCA is a great asset
  • 4-6 years Accounting experience mainly in Private Equity and Real Estate services
  • IFRS or Consolidation experience is a great asset
  • Fluent in English, French and or German are desirable
  • Exposure to LuxGAAP AND EVCA/INREV/IPEVC Guidelines are an asset
