Senior Corporate Officer – A&E

Job Description

Drawing on your existing experience in Dutch law (Corporate law preferably) you will be responsible for coordinating the day to day administrative, legal formalities and compliance requirements for our varied and complex international client portfolios.

As a Senior Corporate Officer, you will be working on a designated client portfolio alongside other legal professionals and accounting professionals, working in close collaboration with the client service manager. Together you are responsible for managing and meeting all day to day legal and compliance affairs, ranging from keeping the company in good standing, to informing the client of legislation updates, to supporting the client with a transaction or restructuring, to being the clients’ first point of contact for anything they may need. Amongst others, you will draft or review agreements, resolutions, minutes and other (transaction) documentation. Next to that you will organize and host board and shareholders meetings.

Our clients see us as a trusted business partner who gaines insight into their needs and as a result you are also the bridge between the client and tax firms, notary offices, banks, auditors or any other third party in the Netherlands.

Compliance has never been more important and has never been more complex; you’ll need to ensure that we comply and meet our compliance requirements from the WTT / WWFT, as we are supervised by the Dutch Central Bank. Aside from thoroughly knowing our client, we also need to monitor each transaction and perform the necessary screening.


Qualifications

  • You have a master’s degree in  Dutch Corporate, Company Law or Fiscal law.
  • 3 to 5 years of legal experience preferably in a corporate environment. Experience in a similar company is an advantage.
  • Broad knowledge of compliance is a plus.
  • Your communication skills are excellent, both verbal and in writing in English. Dutch is an advantage.
  • You have strong analytical skills, mature judgment, and resilience.
  • You’re client focused, organized and accurate.
  • You are proactive, responsive and communicative.
  • You work well independently and, in a team, setting.
  • You have the overview, but you also pay close attention to details.
  • You have a keen eye on identifying potential risks, both for the client and IQ-EQ.
