Senior Associate, Technical Advisory

Job Description

You will support the Technical Team in providing regulatory and compliance expertise across the Principal Firms. You will help monitor regulatory developments, maintain internal policies and frameworks, and provide technical guidance to internal teams. The role involves supporting key technical initiatives, mentoring colleagues, and ensuring regulatory changes are effectively embedded into internal processes.

What you'll do

  • You will support the delivery of the Technical Team’s business plan by managing assigned technical tasks, following up on compliance recommendations, and assisting with policy and compliance manual updates
  • You will monitor regulatory developments and lead horizon scanning activities, ensuring new regulatory requirements are identified and communicated to relevant teams
  • You will provide technical guidance to colleagues, mentor members of the investment management monitoring team, and support training initiatives across the business
  • You will prepare management information and support committee activities, including contributing to oversight committees and maintaining appropriate documentation
  • You will support regulatory frameworks by assisting with issues and breaches management, complaints handling, and the development of policies and procedures related to conduct risk, consumer duty, and governance

Qualifications

  • You will hold a university degree in a related field
  • You will have relevant experience within regulatory compliance, technical advisory, or financial services
  • You will have a good understanding of financial services regulations and regulatory frameworks
  • You will possess strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • You will demonstrate strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to support and mentor colleagues across teams
