Senior Associate, Private Equity and Hedge Fund Accounting (CFO Services)

Job Description

  • Liaise with the clients’ external auditors, administrator, HR/payroll, and other service providers
  • Work with clients to deliver outsourced CFO and related services to Hedge Funds and Private Equity Funds
  • Collaborate with team members & clients and provide daily operational support
  • Assist with creation of financial models, budget to actuals, provide ad-hoc financial analysis and participate in ad-hoc projects
  • Review NAVs, allocations, investor statements and reconciliations
  • Review and/or prepare expense & accrual schedules, management fee calculations and incentive allocations
  • Fund and management company financial statement preparation
  • Maintain accounting practices for assigned clients
  • Research accounting principles and advise team(s) and/or clients, as needed
  • Assist in evaluating current financial and accounting process for new clients, propose improvements and help coordinate implementation efforts
  • Assist in the opening of clients’ brokerage and bank accounts
  • Arrange, coordinate, and participate in weekly, monthly or as needed conference calls

Qualifications

Successful candidates will have many, if not all, of the attributes below:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • Prior internship experience is preferred
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  • Passionate about working in a dynamic entrepreneurial environment
  • Hard-working, self-starter, dedicated, punctual and personable
  • Strong accounting and analytical skills
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions to solve problems — quickly and competently
  • Well versed in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with QuickBooks, OpenAir, Bill.com, Expensify are a plus

Additional information

Salary based on experience and location ($80,000-$100,000) and full benefits package offered.
