Senior Associate (Internal Audit)

What you will do

Job Purpose

The role is part of IQ‑EQ Regulatory Compliance’s Internal Audit and Projects team and is responsible for delivering internal audit engagements to clients, with a primary focus on fund management companies. The role supports clients in meeting regulatory obligations, strengthening internal controls, and enhancing governance frameworks in line with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Core Responsibilities:

    • You conduct internal audit engagements for clients, primarily fund management companies, in line with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
    • You obtain and apply a strong understanding of the asset management industry, regulatory frameworks, and client business models
    • You assess key risks and evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls during audit fieldwork
    • You draft audit working papers, follow‑up request lists, and internal audit reports highlighting findings and recommendations
    • You liaise directly with clients and internal stakeholders throughout the audit cycle and provide ad‑hoc project support as required

    Qualifications

    Essential

    • You have 2–5 years of relevant experience in audit (preferably financial institutions) or in‑house compliance within the financial services industry
    • You possess knowledge of the asset management industry and Singapore’s regulatory regime (an advantage)
    • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
    • You are detail‑oriented, organised, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively
    • You demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with proficiency in MS Word and Excel
