Senior Accountant | Hybrid Setup | HMO on Day 1

Job Description

Job Summary:

A review position responsible for validating fund accounting deliverables and ensuring quality standards. This role performs detailed reviews of financial statements and supports complex accounting processes while serving as a technical resource for preparers. The position focuses on quality assurance and maintaining accounting standards across deliverables.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Review financial statements, NAV calculations, and client deliverables
  • Apply accounting standards and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain strong knowledge of client-specific requirements
  • Contribute to and support process improvement initiatives
  • Provide basic technical guidance to preparers
  • Ensure compliance with established procedures

Tasks:

  • Review fund accounting activities and calculations
  • Validate capital calls and distribution workings
  • Review fund books and records
  • Document review findings and recommendations
  • Provide feedback on technical matters to preparers
  • Review operational procedures
  • Contribute to best practices development
  • Support complex transaction analysis
  • Validate compliance with accounting standards
  • Perform other related duties as assigned for role and business needs

Our current work set-up is Hybrid Work from Home wherein you need to be in the office at least 2 to 3 days a week and the rest is WFH. To qualify you must have a stable internet connection (DSL/Fiber with at least 25mbps).

Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience Required for this Role  

Essential 

Education / professional qualifications 

  • Graduate of accounting with at least 5 years of relevant accounting experience
  • At least 3 years of fund accounting or financial reporting, or audit experience
  • Certified Public Accountant or at least 3 years of Fund Accounting experience

Background experience 

  • Actual work experience in the preparation of working paper files, financial statements with disclosures and other financial information
  • Reviewing experience is required

Technical 

  • Intermediate Excel skills such as pivot tables, lookup, “if” and other similar functions. 
  • Computer / program knowledge 
  • Experience in e-mail, word processing and video conferencing applications such as Microsoft Office. 
  • Effective written and verbal intermediate communication skills. 
  • Experience in using accounting software (Investran software is desired). 

Desired 

  • Experience working in Financial Services or Shared Services office environment.   
  • Experience working in a multinational office environment. 
  • Open to travel and other secondment opportunities abroad. 
  • University Degree in Accountancy and other accounting-related courses.
