Senior Accountant, Fund Accounting | Hybrid Setup | HMO on Day 1

Job Description

THIS ROLE 

A review position responsible for validating fund accounting deliverables and ensuring quality standards. This role performs detailed reviews of financial statements and supports complex accounting processes while serving as a technical resource for preparers. The position focuses on quality assurance and maintaining accounting standards across deliverables. 

WHAT YOU WILL DO 

  • Review financial statements, NAV calculations, and client deliverables
  • Apply accounting standards and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain strong knowledge of client-specific requirements
  • Contribute to and support process improvement initiatives
  • Provide basic technical guidance to preparers
  • Ensure compliance with established procedures

Qualifications

ABOUT YOU 

  • You are an accounting, finance, or business administration graduate with CPA license or equivalent
  • You have a minimum of 5 years of overall experience. 3 years of which are in fund accounting, financial reporting, or audit, with a focus on complex portfolios and advanced accounting modules
  • You are proficient in reviewing financial statements
  • You have a strong understanding of accounting standards (IFRS or GAAP) and regulatory requirements
  • You are an expert in validating capital calls, distribution workings, and fund books and records
  • You are skilled in reviewing and analysing complex transactions and operational procedures
  • You have good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • You have intermediate Microsoft Office skills with a particular focus on Excel skills
  • You have exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on quality assurance
  • You can maintain accuracy and compliance with established accounting standards and procedures
  • You have effective review and validation skills, ensuring high-quality deliverables
  • You can provide technical guidance and constructive feedback to preparers
  • You are detail-oriented and organized, ensuring thorough validation of complex processes
  • You have a strong collaborative mindset, able to support team initiatives and contribute to best practices development
  • You are proactive in identifying and resolving issues, ensuring compliance and process efficiency
  • You have a professional demeanor with excellent communication and feedback-sharing skills
  • You have a “can do” attitude, ability to cope with tight deadlines, work under pressure and lead by example
