Senior Accountant, Fund Accounting

Job Description

What you will do:

  • You'll review and prepare NAV calculations, financial statements, capital calls, distributions, investor notices, journal entries, and other private equity fund accounting deliverables, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
  • You'll oversee, review, and provide feedback to Accountants and Junior Accountants, ensuring all client deliverables meet quality standards, service-level agreements (SLAs), and regulatory requirements.
  • You'll serve as a key point of contact for clients, investors, and internal stakeholders by managing inquiries, resolving issues, escalating concerns when necessary, and maintaining strong professional relationships.
  • You'll plan, allocate, and monitor team workloads, manage workflow processes, support fund onboarding and accounting system conversions, and ensure the efficient execution of operational activities.
  • You'll ensure compliance with internal policies, controls, and SSAE requirements, mitigate operational risks, drive process improvements, and support team development through coaching, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

About You:

  • You hold a degree in Accounting or a related business discipline, with 4+ years of accounting experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or team management role.
  • You possess strong knowledge of IndAS, IFRS, and US/UK/Luxembourg GAAP, with hands-on experience preparing and reviewing financial statements, disclosures, and working papers.
  • You have proven fund accounting experience, preferably in private equity, managing client deliverables, service operations, and team performance.
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, IF functions), Microsoft Office applications, accounting systems such as Investran, and have strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • You bring added value through CPA/ACCA certification, experience in financial services, shared services, or multinational environments, foreign language proficiency, and willingness to travel or undertake international secondments.
