Risk Officer

Job Description

IQ-EQ Netherlands N.V. is seeking a Risk Officer to join our second-line Risk & Compliance
team. Reporting to the Head of Risk and Compliance and working closely with the Director
Risk & Compliance, you will play a key role in supporting daily risk management activities
and ensuring adherence to internal frameworks and regulatory requirements.

This requires a “hands-on mentality”, a high level of connectivity, backed by knowledge of the
WTT and Wwft. Knowledge of Wft and GDPR is a pré and part of your job is to keep your
knowledge up-to-date through in-house courses and attend periodic audits and trainings by
Dutch Central Bank, AFM (Financial Markets Authority) and HQ (Branch organisation for
Trust Offices).

You’ll be part of a team preparing and implementing the annual Risk Monitoring Planner
(RMP), doing the research that goes into the monitoring and reporting regarding the items of
the RMP to our management and to IQ-EQ Group.
Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, aggregate, and analyze risk and portfolio data to produce regular reports.
  • Maintain and update risk and compliance registers, ensuring effective controls and timely
  • follow-up actions.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and escalate risk events as needed.
  • Support the development and enhancement of the Group’s Risk Management framework.
  • Review and oversee risk events and issues, providing challenge and insight.
  • Conduct periodic risk assessments in collaboration with relevant departments.
  • Execute compliance and risk monitoring programs and report findings.
  • Maintain accurate records of risk and compliance activities.
  • Generate and analyze system reports (e.g., SERR, Napier) to identify key risks.
  • Prepare professional presentations to communicate risk findings effectively.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in risk management, compliance, or related fields, preferably
  • within financial or corporate services.
  • Basic understanding of Dutch and European regulatory frameworks (e.g., Wtt 2018,
  • Wwft, AML/CFT); a completed Basic Trust Officer Education is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written).
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, PivotTables, Power Query).
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
  • Familiarity with Power Automate for workflow automation.
  • Ability to perform both qualitative and quantitative risk assessments.
  • Understanding of organizational context and sector-specific risks.
