Regulatory and Internal Reporting Manager Fund Services

Job Description

As the Regulatory and Internal Reporting Manager Fund Services you play a critical role in ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of regulatory reporting obligations associated with the Funds administered by IQ-EQ Fund Services as well as specific internal reporting. You will oversee and coordinate efforts across internal teams and external stakeholders to fulfill complex and evolving reporting requirements. Building strong relationships with both existing and new clients (fund managers), as well as banks, auditors and other external parties, you will gain valuable insights into their needs and provide customer-centric solutions. You will be working closely with the local Fund Services team in Amsterdam and their peers in Phillippines, Mauritius and India, as well as other disciplines within the IQEQ organization. Highly organized and detail oriented, you will leverage your subject matter expertise, to meet contractual, legal, tax and reporting obligations by sharing best practices you will contribute to improving quality and reducing risk within the reporting function.  

You will help setting, maintaining, and improving the quality standards in the team and find opportunities to automate the creation of reports, together with the system engineers and application specialists within IQ-EQ. You will align work processes and methods and ensure that

What you'll do:

  • Coordination Regulatory and Internal Reporting 
  • Oversee and manage the end-to-end process for all regulatory reports including Audits, Annex IV, MESRAP, MER, Renseignering, and FJOs. 
  • Coordinate with and support our Tax department on deliverables for our clients from a tax perspective, where applicable 
  • Oversee production and submission of Quarterly administrator reports and other SLA agreed reporting deliverables not related to the day-to-day NAV, TA and CDD deliverables 
  • Produce as required time to time internal reports for analyses purposes  
  • Ensure all reporting deadlines are met and submissions are compliant with applicable regulations. 
  • ISAE Engagement 
  • Act as the key internal and external liaison for ISAE-related activities within IQ-EQ Fund Services. 
  • Coordinate with Fund Services’ operational team and internal control and assurance teams to support audit readiness, produce relevant documentation and ensure on time and in full completion. 
  • Stakeholder Management 
  • Collaborate with fund managers, auditors, regulatory bodies and other third parties to ensure smooth reporting workflows. 
  • Serve as one of the two (also the CSM) primary points of contact for regulatory reporting queries and escalations. 
  • Process Improvement 
  • Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes and enhance automation. 
  • Assist in promoting proper use of systems such as Navigator and Qics to safeguard that the data assembled leads to sensible reporting  
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes and assess their impact on reporting obligations. 
  • Documentation & Compliance 
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of reporting procedures and controls. 
  • Support internal and external audits with relevant reporting evidence and commentary. 

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in regulatory reporting within fund administration or financial services for both alternative and retail funds. 
  • Strong understanding of EU and local fund regulations and accounting standards. 
  • Excellent organizational, communication and problem-solving skills including the ability to identify and act on opportunities for process improvements 
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders and adapt quickly to challenging and changing priorities. 

Skills 

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to develop working relationships with colleagues at various levels and locations, clients, and other stakeholders.  
  • Display high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.  
  • Ability to take and give constructive feedback.  
  • High proficiency in Microsoft applications and fund specific software is considered an asset.  
  • Masters Degree in Accounting, Economics or Finance (ACCA is an asset).  
  • Knowledge of Dutch GAAP; IFRS and other standards is a great asset.  
  • Languages: English; Dutch is an advantage.
