Job Description
The Principal Consultant will successfully motivate and lead, be responsible for the development of client relationships and the development and oversight of junior colleagues. They will lead a “pod” which is focused on the delivery of anti-financial crime work. The Principal Consultant will be tasked with effectively delivering financial crime projects including in connection with AML, ABC and Sanctions, as well as helping clients with regulatory interventions and thematic assessments.
What You'll Bring -
- Provide responsive and relevant financial crime advice and solutions;
- Update clients on regulatory changes and how it impacts their business;
- Draft relevant financial crime documentation for clients;
- Set up relevant policies, procedures and working documentation for clients;
- Work with clients to devise bespoke risk-based financial crime monitoring programmes;
- Involvement in designing / running training courses;
- Build, manage and develop client relationships;
- Lead all aspects of compliance program, including overseeing and reviewing the work of project team members;
- Act as internal and external subject matter expert on financial crime matters relevant to clients;
- Identify, manage and/or support projects and internal initiatives (e.g., draft articles for industry publications, participate in sales, conduct or oversee research); and
- Supervise, train, evaluate, oversee, and provide feedback to junior colleagues.
Qualifications
What You’ll Bring -
- Experience in working at comparable compliance consultants who are main competitors (e.g. ACA Compliance; Bovill Newgate, Big 6);
- Technical knowledge of FCA regulations;
- Practical understanding of the financial services industry with a particular focus on financial crime within a broad range of financial services sectors;
- Proven track record within compliance gained within a compliance consultancy, or relevant regulated firm;
- Ability to implement solutions to address the regulatory requirements of the client;
- Knowledge of the FCA Handbook;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
