Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of regulatory reporting tasks accurately and in a timely manner to support the ongoing compliance with regulatory obligations for managed entities within the Private Wealth and Funds & Institutional business units
  • Provide a high level of quality administration to the internal client teams accurately, and in a timely manner.
  • Assist the Senior Manager and Management Team with the day-to-day tasks within the regulatory reporting function in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures
  • Plan, prioritise and organise tasks and activities efficiently, ensuring effective time management of allocated tasks.

Tasks:

  • Support in the preparing and collating of information required for the annual FATCA and CRS submissions.
  • Support reviews for the FATCA/CRS classifications and relevant activity for Economic Substance. 
  • Assist with data quality analysis, preparation of regulatory reporting information and submission of reporting on a timely basis
  • As appropriate complete workflows on 5series (or other data systems) to ensure the Regulatory Reporting and Economic substance, information is up to date.
  • Assist with the completion of Jersey Tax Returns required for Jersey and foreign incorporated companies and partnerships, including considerations of relevant activity for Economic Substance.
  • Assist with the completion of Foreign Economic Substance Submissions required by the overseas registered agents.
  • Assist in providing timely and constructive responses to queries raised in the RRT mailbox for FATCA/CRS, Economic Substance and Jersey Tax Returns, with guidance when required.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with the Team Members across all Teams locally and in the GCD jurisdictions to ensure a proactive and collaborative approach
  • Continue and maintain relevant technical knowledge, ensuring CPD requirements are met
  • Acquire knowledge of business activities, products and services
  • Deliver the highest level of client service in line with our IQEQ Group Values with the objective of exceeding client expectations
  • Assist with project work and maintain proper and orderly record keeping as the business requires
  • Develop a good technical understanding of legal and regulatory requirements and industry best practice in regulatory reporting.
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of policies and procedures in place and ensure they are being followed and complied with and, in case of non-compliance, inform the relevant Senior Manager or the Risk and Compliance Team in a timely manner
  • Be aware of risk factors and refer upwards, exercising judgement as to when manager help is needed
  • Pro-actively comment on processes with respect to improvements and efficiencies
  • Provide timely responses to compliance queries and highlight any risk issues that arise
  • Be aware of and report suspicious transactions/complaints where required
  • Take ownership for maintaining Continual Professional Development as required for the role and/or for existing professional qualifications or regulatory requirements

Qualifications

  • Working towards either one of the following: ICSA Certificate in Offshore Finance and Administration or STEP Foundation Certificate in Offshore Trust
  • Evidence of Continued Professional Development
  • Knowledge of the Finance Industry in Jersey
  • Knowledge of FATCA & CRS reporting requirements desirable
  • Basic knowledge of other regulatory reporting requirements for example, economic substance and Jersey Tax Returns desirable
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft packages including Excel, Outlook and Word
