Job Description

Responsibilities (how we will measure success)

  • To comply with all internal policies and procedures
  • Advisory to the business
  • Register maintenance as delegated
  • Circulation of Policies or participation in Compliance and Risk clinics or similar awareness forums
  • Generate PowerBI reports to monitor for fulfilment of mandated Group training
  • Proactively manage incoming emails received to FM JE Risk & Compliance mailbox
  • Facilitation of specialist external Enhanced Due Diligence reports, settlement of associated invoices
  • Advisory to the onboarding team on overnight screening alerts, which cannot be discounted
  • Creating monitoring alerts for Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs) and high-risk subjects/entities
  • Processing overnight batch screening alerts, escalating in accordance with Policy guidelines
  • Processing Sanctions Notices, including maintaining a register
  • Contribute towards the drafting / updating of Standard Operating Procedures
  • Continuous process improvement, submit suggestions for improvement
  • Project participation upon request
  • Training colleagues as relevant (role specific)
  • Support with regulatory / intermediary / audits or similar visits or examinations
  • Record retention, storing / filing / scanning documentation as relevant to role
  • Fulfilment of Continuous Professional Development
  • Additional adhoc tasks as delegated
  • Be visible and encourage proactive communication between the Business and the Risk and Compliance Function

Qualifications

Required Experience (preferable)

  • Hold or be studying towards an ICA qualification 
  • Have a good understanding of the Risk & Compliance environment
  • Knowledge of client structures e.g., corporates, trusts, foundations, and associated risk factors such as PEPs / jurisdictions, sanctions
  • Have a good understanding of the offshore finance Industry
  • Ability to be flexible and work effectively as part of a Team
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines to meet deadlines
  • Good analytical and numerical skills
  • Good administrative skills
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Good organisational skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft packages including Excel, Outlook, and Word 
  • Good attention to detail
