Job Description

Job Summary: 

A mid-level preparer position responsible for delivering comprehensive ETL (Extraction, Transform and Load) according to the set requirements. The position requires independent execution of established procedures while maintaining quality and timeliness standards.

Core Responsibilities:  

  • Assists in data extraction and collection using prescribed guidelines 
  • Maintain accurate and timely processing of data extraction/ collection 
  • Follow quality control process and risk mitigation efforts 
  • Develop knowledge of client specific requirements and deliverables 
  • Responsible for entering and  maintaining the accurate data shown in the client reports and/or dashboard 

Tasks

  • Periodic preparation and delivery of pre-agreed reporting for various clients’ portfolios 
  • ETL – Extract data from PDF documents, web forms, and Excel templates; Transform into applicable format; and Load into relevant data repository 
  • Data report provision and review to third parties as per client requirements  
  • Assist in the provision of ad-hoc analysis or reports 
  • Assists in client onboarding activities and any change request related to the above tasks 
  • Complete and maintain detailed operational checklists 
  • Track work progress through timesheet completion 
  • Follow prescribed workflows and escalation procedures 
  • Participate in workshops and required training programs 
  • Conduct self-reviews to maintain quality standards  
  • Assist senior team members with routine assignments 
  • Support in overseeing and managing incoming communication from  the other AOS team members/Client/Investor’s 
  • Cross-functional collaboration within the international organization and with other departments on service delivery 
  • Perform other related duties as assigned for role and business needs 

THIS ROLE 

As a Client Accountant, you’re a detail-oriented team player with great organisational skills. Your responsibilities include day-to-day management of private equity or real estate clients, reviewing financial statements, ensuring accurate communication of cash movements, and overseeing the preparation and completion of client deliverables.

This is a 100% remote position available for UK-based candidates.

WHAT YOU WILL DO 

  • You’ll work closely with your line manager to ensure financial statements meet the funds’ reporting requirements, e.g., UK GAAP or IFRS
  • You’ll review investor drawdown calculations to ensure accuracy of figures as funds seek access to their commitments from investors
  • You’ll review investor distribution calculations to ensure the flow of funds from the sale of an investment are accurately recorded so that proceeds are appropriately allocated and paid to investors
  • You’ll ensure the accurate communication of all cash movements between the fund and its investors through the issuance of relevant notices to investors
  • You’ll oversee the preparation and completion process of client deliverables including agreeing timetables with clients, and thereafter and monitoring progress against these to ensure deliverables are on track.

ABOUT YOU 

  • You are ACCA/ACA/CIMA part or fully qualified or qualified by experience
  • You have previously worked in financial services or accounting practices working on multiple client relationships
  • You have experience reviewing working paper files and financial statements, including disclosures or alternatively can demonstrate strong accounting background through previous experience and CPD
  • You manage client relationships and experience with resolving issues directly with clients
  • You have experience in supporting and mentoring junior team members.

Qualifications

Educational Background: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, computer science, information systems, engineering, accounting, finance or a related field 

Professional Experience: 

  • 3 years of experience in data analysis with exposure to data visualization software (ie Tableau, Power BI), ETL processes (via SQL or Snowflake), and Macro/VBA 

Skills and Key Behaviours:

  • Knowledge in data extraction tools eg web forms, unstructured data extraction tools  
  • Basic knowledge in MS SQL / Data Warehouse – joins, unions, group by etc  
  • Basic knowledge in data storytelling and visualization best practices 
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills with a particular focus on Excel skills 
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with senior team members and work well in a team-oriented environment 
  • Enthusiasm for learning and commitment to completing required training programs 
  • Good time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines in a structured work environment 
  • Willingness to follow standardized workflows and adapt to client-specific requirements 
  • Proactive and adaptable with a mindset focused on quality control and risk mitigation 
  • Open to feedback and capable of applying it to improve performance
