Officer 2, Regulatory Compliance (Reporting)

Job Description

THIS ROLE 

This role provides operational support to the Regulatory Compliance function by assisting in the preparation, review, and coordination of periodic regulatory reporting requirements for clients. The role follows established procedures and works under the guidance of senior team members to ensure accurate preparation of regulatory returns, timely tracking of submissions, and proper maintenance of reporting documentation. This is an early-intermediate (P2-09) position focused on structured regulatory reporting tasks, data handling, and supporting compliance-related reporting activities.

WHAT YOU WILL DO 

  • Assist in preparing and formatting periodic regulatory returns in accordance with established templates and client instructions.
  • Support senior team members in reviewing draft regulatory filings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Coordinate with onshore teams to manage timelines, data requirements, and reporting expectations.
  • Track, organize, and maintain client documents, regulatory submissions, and reporting records.
  • Perform routine checks on reporting data for accuracy and flag discrepancies to senior colleagues.
  • Support basic data extraction and consolidation for regulatory return preparation.
  • Assist in preparing documentation for audit or internal review purposes related to regulatory reporting.
  • Respond to basic reporting-related inquiries and escalate complex questions as needed.
  • Follow all established procedures and compliance standards related to reporting workflows.

Tasks:

  • Assist in the preparation and formatting of regulatory reporting templates.
  • Support the collection, organization, and validation of client data required for reporting.
  • Generate routine reports or summaries for review by senior team members.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date regulatory submission logs and trackers.
  • Perform data checks such as reconciling figures, verifying supporting information, and confirming document completeness.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely receipt of required data inputs.
  • Assist in updating reporting files and maintaining structured documentation repositories.

Qualifications

ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelor’s degree required (preferably in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field).
  • At least 1–2 years of experience in regulatory reporting, financial reporting, accounting support, or related fields.
  • Strong accounting knowledge required.
  • Experience with regulatory return preparation for Hong Kong or Singapore regulations is an advantage but not required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling numerical data and reporting documentation.
  • Ability to follow structured processes and established reporting procedures.
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple reporting tasks with guidance.
  • Proactive, willing to learn, and capable of working in a structured and deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong written English and ability to produce clear reporting summaries.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills to coordinate with team members and onshore stakeholders.
  • Basic analytical skills to identify inconsistencies in reporting data.
