Job Description

Job Summary:

A junior position responsible for performing routine depositary operations with moderate supervision. This role handles straightforward depositary tasks independently while developing deeper understanding of processes and requirements.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Execute routine depositary operations
  • Perform cash monitoring activities
  • Review basic transaction documentation
  • Maintain prescribed compliance standards
  • Support client service delivery
  • Build technical knowledge

Tasks:

  • Conduct cash monitoring activities
  • Review transaction documentation
  • Track fund activities and compliance
  • Prepare year-end asset positions
  • Handle routine client queries
  • Coordinate with service providers
  • Maintain regulatory compliance
  • Report progress to supervisors

Qualifications

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field

Professional Experience:

  • 3 years of experience in depositary or custody operations, fund administration, or similar roles
  • Experience in managing cash monitoring activities and reviewing transaction documentation
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards within the depositary environment

Skills and Key Behaviours:

expected to demonstrate the following:

  • Strong understanding of routine depositary operations, including fund activity tracking and year end asset position preparation
  • Proficiency in client service delivery and coordination with external service providers
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office tools, particularly Excel, for reporting and analysis
  • Excellent attention to detail for maintaining compliance standards and reviewing documentation
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for handling client queries and collaborating with supervisors and team members
  • Effective organizational skills to manage deadlines and multiple tasks independently
  • Proactivity and self-motivation, with the ability to develop deeper technical knowledge
  • Adaptability and resourcefulness, demonstrating the ability to work under moderate supervision
  • Commitment to quality and accuracy, ensuring all operations align with prescribed standards
