Job Summary:
An entry-level position responsible for performing basic depositary tasks under direct supervision. This role supports fundamental depositary operations including cash monitoring and asset verification activities while following established procedures and guidelines.
Core Responsibilities:
- Execute basic depositary monitoring tasks
- Support asset verification processes
- Maintain depositary records
- Follow regulatory compliance procedures
- Support cash flow monitoring activities
- Assist with document collection
Tasks:
- Process cash monitoring reconciliations
- Update depositary records and dashboards
- Support routine report preparation
- Gather and organize transaction documents
- Assist with year-end confirmations
- Follow compliance checklists
- Escalate issues to supervisors
Qualifications
Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Equivalent professional certifications are a plus
Professional Experience:
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in depositary or custody functions, gained in a depositary bank, audit firm, or fund accounting role
- Exposure to Private Equity and Real Estate markets is highly preferred
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance within the depositary environment
Skills and Key Behaviours:

- Proficiency in cash monitoring reconciliations, asset verification processes, and maintenance of depositary records
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office tools, particularly Excel and Word
- Ability to follow compliance procedures and execute tasks with attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address operational issues and escalate when necessary
- Effective communication skills for preparing reports and collaborating with team members
- Good time management to meet deadlines during routine and year-end activities
- High level of integrity and accountability in handling financial documentation and reports
- Adaptability and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced, regulated environment
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work collaboratively under direct supervision
