Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join IQ-EQ Fund Management (Ireland) Limited as the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO). Reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer and sitting within the Compliance function, you will be responsible for leading the MLRO function for IQ-EQ and acting as MLRO for UCITS and AIF clients. You will play a critical role in identifying, assessing, monitoring, and managing money laundering risk in a manner proportionate to the nature, scale, and complexity of the business and its clients.

What you will do

  • You will manage the day-to-day operation of the MLRO function, ensuring effective oversight of AML risk across IQ-EQ and its UCITS and AIF client base
  • You will develop, maintain, and enhance AML policies, procedures, and risk assessment frameworks in line with regulatory requirements and best practice
  • You will provide expert advice to senior management and the Board on AML matters, including risk exposure, emerging threats, and regulatory expectations
  • You will prepare and present regular AML reports to Boards and relevant governance committees
  • You will oversee AML compliance monitoring, client due diligence, and the identification and remediation of AML vulnerabilities
  • You will liaise with regulators, external stakeholders, and internal teams, while monitoring regulatory change and ensuring timely and effective implementation

Qualifications

  • You will hold a relevant third-level degree in Business, Finance, Law, or a related discipline
  • You will have at least 5 years’ experience in an Irish AML role, ideally within a fund management company or fund administrator
  • You will demonstrate deep technical knowledge of Irish and EU AML legislation and regulatory expectations
  • You will have strong AML risk assessment capabilities and the confidence to make sound, well-reasoned decisions
  • You will possess excellent analytical, organisational, and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • You will bring strong communication skills, with the confidence to challenge constructively and articulate complex AML issues clearly at senior level
