Middle Office Associate, AIFM Officer 1

Job Description

THIS ROLE

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Perform middle office activities as described below related to the investment activities conducted by the portfolio managers of the Luxembourg-based Alternative Investment Fund Manager (AIFM).

a. Execution Management

  • Monitor the reception of executed documents post-transaction within the regulatory 3-month deadline and follow up with clients if needed.
  • Store the documents in folders according to a procedure to define.
  • Prepare execution notices (confirming the execution and terms thereof), subject to a 4-eyes check by the Portfolio Manager.
  • Maintain the post-acquisition folders with a standard set of documents.
  • Confirm to other stakeholders when required the executed transactions and their terms.

b. Bank Account and Payment Monitoring

  • Reconcile significant cash movements (above a threshold to be defined) against approvals.

c. Mailbox Management

  • Manually allocate emails in common mailbox to client's folders.

Qualifications

ABOUT YOU

  • Master/bachelor’s in law, Economics or an equivalent degree
  • Minimum two years of work experience in positions related to finance
  • Very good command of Microsoft Office packages including Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Proficient verbal and written English, other languages are an advantage
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills towards management and staff
  • Eager to learn and grow
  • Be well organized, with attention to detail and autonomous
  • Drive initiative and ownership
