Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Compliance with the DFSA PIB module, as an Authorised Individual;
- Submission of Company’s PIB returns through EPRS in a timely manner;
- Provision of regular capital adequacy reports to the SEO and the Board, as agreed;
- Provision of timely reports to the SEO and/or the Board on (i) Capital Resources; (ii) Risk Capital Requirements; and (iii) liquid assets;
- Preparation of budgets and financial projections; anticipating issues, stress events and ensuring that the client company maintains adequate Capital and liquid Resources at all times;
- Overseeing finance and accounting functions, ensuring that the accounts are maintained according to IFRS and applicable rules;
- Establish and monitor the implementation of the Company’s financial policies, procedures, systems and controls;
- Monitor and review financial transactions;
- Monitoring the financial aspects in the internal audit function and liaise with the CO&MLRO as may be required, in relation to the Company’s financial aspects; and
- Liaise with the external auditor to get their opinion on the financial statements and agreed-upon-procedure report on PIB;
- Ensure compliance with the DFSA’s Principles for Authorised Individuals;
- Compliance with UAE VAT, CT and ESR compliances;
- Staying abreast with changes in the tax and regulatory landscape and ensuring prompt client compliances;
- Working alongside other functions to ensure prompt client delivery;
- Support business development team in outsourced finance officer and tax related matters;
- Representation to the FTA and other authorities for client’s tax related matters;
- Ensure protections of information assets of IQ-EQ MU and to abide by the ISMS in place at IQ-EQ MU.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- The candidate should have at least 7 – 8 years of work experience in a tax and regulatory environment.
- Required to have working knowledge and experience in independently carrying out the above functions, and also sound knowledge of IFRS.
- The candidate will be expected to carry out the role of Finance Officer and related support activities for clients.
- The candidate should preferably have past experience in reporting and licensed activities under the DFSA regime.
