Manager, Depositary | HMO on Day 1 | HYBRID Setup

THIS ROLE

This leadership role is responsible for managing a team of depositary professionals, ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and high-quality service delivery. You will oversee team performance, provide technical guidance on complex depositary matters, and drive continuous improvement in processes and controls. The role requires strong stakeholder management, effective risk oversight, and the ability to develop team capabilities while maintaining compliance with regulatory frameworks and internal standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of depositary professionals, setting performance objectives and conducting regular performance and development reviews
  • Ensure high-quality service delivery by reviewing team outputs, monitoring workflows, and managing capacity to meet agreed timelines and SLAs
  • Oversee compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies, ensuring adherence to depositary standards and effective risk management practices
  • Act as the escalation point for complex issues, resolving client queries and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Drive operational improvement initiatives by enhancing processes, establishing quality standards, and optimizing resource utilization for efficiency and consistency

Qualifications

ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; CPA, CFA, or equivalent certification is an advantage
  • At least 5+ years of experience in depositary operations or financial services, preferably within a multinational, financial services, or shared services environment
  • Strong expertise in regulatory compliance, risk management, and process improvement, with proven ability to review and ensure quality of deliverables
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel (e.g., pivot tables, advanced formulas), and familiarity with collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams or Zoom
  • Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead teams, manage workflow and capacity, conduct performance reviews, and drive operational excellence while maintaining high-quality standards
